The exhibition “BACK VIEW – Figures against the tide” opens today at Le Delta in Namur, Belgium. The exhibition features a number of artists, including Trine Søndergaard, and explores the many significant facets of the back-facing figure, both historically and contemporarily.
On September 19th, the exhibition “Berührend” opens at Paula Modersohn-Becker Museum in Bremen, Germany. The exhibition is a group show with 60 works that all explore both the physical touch and to be emotionally touched. One of the included artists is Elina Brotherus.
The exhibition in the Upper Gallery at Nikolaj Kunsthal, Copenhagen will feature all Variations of Old Tjikko. Old Tjikko is the world’s oldest tree, located in Dalarna, Sweden. In his series, Howalt has developed the same negative taken of the tree, on different types of expired photo paper, generating widely different aesthetic qualities.
