Elina Brotherus solo show at Sorø Kunstmuseum

For the first time, Sorø Kunstmuseum will be showing a solo presentation by Elina Brotherus. The exhibition, Playful Wanderer, will be based on the series The New Painting (2000-2004), where the history of art and paintings from Romanticism and the Golden Age has served as the source of inspiration for the Finnish artist.

Located on the eastern part of Zealand, Sorø Kunstmuseum first opened in 1943 with the aim of bringing some of the best of Danish art to the local and regional population. The museum now presides over a considerable collection of 2200 art works from 1700 to the present day, including special collection of medieval art, Russian art 1870-1930 and Russian icons 1500-1900.
